Jimmy Possum Chair

Hand-whittled Ironbark and Red Gum chair modelled off the original design from the Deloraine area in Tasmania. These chairs were produced from the 1890’s to the 1930’s by rustic workers who copied the style of the now famous Jimmy Possum. A rustic craftsman who reputedly lived in a hollowed tree and produced a variety of well crafted pieces to survive. As with all good stick chairs the joints tighten when somebody sits on it.
